Description
English: First illustration in "Views of the Rhine" from William Tombleson (volume no. 1, first issue 1832); the bottom left shows "W. Tombleson Del.t" as creator of the original drawing, the bottom right "T. Clark Sculp.t" as creator of the steel engraving. It shows one of the towers at Oberwesel on the Middle Rhine in Germany.
Deutsch: Erste Illustration in William Tombleson`s "Rhein Ansichten" (Band 1, Erstausgabe 1832); unten links wird "W. Tombleson Del.t" als Urheber der originalen Zeichnung genannt, unten rechts "T. Clark Sculp.t" als Urheber des Stahlstichs. Das Bild zeigt einen der Türme bei Oberwesel am Mittel-Rhein in Deutschland.
Français : Première illustration dans les "Vues du Rhin" de William Tombleson (volume no. 1, 1ère édition 1832). En bas à gauche "W.
