Deutsch: "Mit diesem Porträt hielt Tizian das Aussehen seiner eigenen Tochter Lavinia fest. Das grüne, mit Goldbesatz verzierte Gewand strahlt Vornehmheit aus. Stark von der spanischen Mode inspiriert sind die geschlitzten Ärmelpuffen, die Spitzenmanschetten und die transparente Bluse. Sie trägt kostbaren Schmuck, zudem hält sie einen Fächer aus Straußenfedern in der Hand, den damals in Venedig nur Verheiratete tragen durften.
Lavinia heiratete 1555 den wohlhabenden Kleinadligen Cornelio Sarcinelli, dem sie nach Serravalle auf dem Festland folgte. Ihre genauen Lebensdaten sind unbekannt. Zum Zeitpunkt des Porträts dürfte Lavinia circa 30 Jahre alt gewesen sein. Wenn die Datierung des Gemäldes in Tizians Spätwerk um 1565 zustrifft, könnte ihr Geburtsdatum als um 1535 angenommen werden. In jedem Fall verstarb sie nicht schon 1561, wie lange angenommen wurde. Ihr Sterbedatum liegt vielmehr zwischen den Jahren 1574/77 (Andreas Henning)." [1] |
