Description
English: Tinticite
Locality: Unnamed cave, Tintic Standard Mine (Tintic Standard Mines 1; 2 & 3), East Tintic District, East Tintic Mts, Utah County, Utah, USA (Locality at mindat.org)
Size: 12.9 x 8.4 x 7.2 cm.
Tinticite is an extremely rare iron phosphate, found in only a few spots. Although microcrystalline here, the covering on the matrix is very rich and there is probably more inside. Ex. Academy of Natural Sciences Philadelphia Collection.
