NOTE: This image is a focus stacked image of Tigridia pavonia - wilted overnight consisting of 29 images that were merged using Zerene Stacker Version 1.04 (licensed). As a result, this image underwent digital manipulation which may have included blending, blurring, cloning, and colour and perspective adjustments. As a result of these adjustments, the image content may be slightly different than reality at the points where the images were combined. This manipulation is often required due to lens, perspective, and parallax distortions.

en: Tigridia pavonia - tiger lily
- Location: Dortmund, Germany.
- Grown in own garden.
- Length of yellow, wilted stamen: approx. 20 mm.
- Image taken in July 2018.
- This is the appearance of a Tigridia pavonia flower similar to the one depicted in the image Tigridia pavonia, having rapidly wilted overnight.
- Wikipedia en: new reference image for subject "Wilting"
Technical details describing the making of of this image:
- I chose focus stacking as the appropriate technology in order to attain a clear focus on both the nearest and most distant parts of this flower. The complete stack consists of 29 images with the nearest image focused at a magnification of 1:1.3 and the 29th and last at approx. 1:1.6. As all subsequent images are automatically adapted to the size of the first image, the resulting magnification is exactly 1:1.3. The vivid purple and yellow hues accurately reproduce the natural colouring of the wilted flower and are explicitly not a side-effect of the techniques used (checked via colour chart).
- Technical aspects of focus stacking: see following description: Focus Stacking.
de:
- Fundort: Dortmund, Deutschland.
- Im eigenen Garten gewachsen.
- Länge des gelben verwelkten Staubblattes ca. 20 mm.
- Aufgenommen in Juli 2018.
