| Description |
English: Down empties near Tibshelf Sidings. View southward, towards Toton Yard, Trent and the South, on the immensely busy four-track Erewash Valley main line to Chesterfield and the North. The photograph was taken from a train on the Fast line and nicely captures a typical Down Class J empties returning to one of the numerous collieries, headed by ex-Midland Johnson/Deeley 5'3" 3F 0-6-0 No. 43235, which engine lasted until 9/60. |
