| Description |
Trekking 4 days from Ganden Monastery to Samye Monastery. My intrepid and courageous trekking partner Erica tightly bundled up as we braved a series of wicked snowstorms crossing the pass on the Ganden to Samye trek. It doesn't look like it in the photo, but I swear there was 3 inches of snow on the ground 20 minutes before and winds blowing it down on us sideways. The wonders of high UV that the snow kept melting so fast. This continued off and on all day. Erica, I don't think, knew exactly what she was getting into in committing to a 4 (turning into 5) day trek in the wilds of Tibet. For some reason she trusted me. I respect her strength and hardiness when things got tougher. |
