(1 in a multiple picture album) This place is a hidden gem. If you look at a map for Zion National Park, you'll see that Kolob Canyon is a part of it. But it is tucked away in the upper corner. To get to it, you must leave Zion Canyon, drive back to Interstate 15 and drive north about fifty miles. Then you'll see only a small roadside sign that tells you Kolob Canyon is off the next exit. In light of the above, many visitors to Zion never see Kolob Canyon. And that's a shame because it is spectacular. It holds its own against the main canyon, and has the added bonus of fewer visitors to get in your way. |
