Description
English: Thomas Hardy Locations, Max Gate Hardy designed and built this house for himself in 1885 and lived there until his death in 1928. At this villa, Thomas Hardy wrote some of his greatest works including The Woodlanders, Tess of the d'Urbervilles, Jude the Obscure, The Dynasts, and over nine hundred poems.
