| Description | A closer look at the 5-tiered pagoda beside the Itsukushima shrine on the Miyajimacho island off Hiroshima, Japan. It did not appear to be part of the main temple which I have just explored. (see previous pictures earlier in this album). The approach to the pagoda was from a side street leading from the shrine itself to the ferry terminal. I did not explore or even approach the pagoda as I was woefully short of time- I had an over one hour trip back to Hiroshima station to catch my Shinkansen bullet train back to Osaka and the minutes were previous at the moment. I did not find any references to this pagoda in any of my research material which I accessed while doing the captioning so the pagoda is probably not very important. (I hope).
