Description
English: The East Gopuram of Thiruvannamali Arunachaleswararar Temple, Thiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu, India was built by King Krishnadevaraya, a Vijayanagara Ruler of 16th century CE. It is the tallest Gopuram in the temple with a height of 216.5 feet. The adjoining Thousand Pillar Hall was also built by Krishnadevaraya and it has thousand stone carved pillars. The temple tower is a Heritage monument of India because of its antiquity and exquisite stone sculptures.
