Deutsch: Zweiter Weltkrieg. Porträt eines Angehörigen der deutschen Wehrmacht. Marine SA / Deutsche Kriegsmarine Sturmabteilung. Foto Portrait Marine-SA Dienstdolch Uniform Schirmmütze Sportabzeichen 2.WK.
Foto: Grasser, Franz, 1942/1944 English: Young German in a naval uniform of the SA-Marine (Marine-SA, Marinesturm), an independent organization within the framework of the Sturmabteilung (SA), the Nazi Party's original paramilitary wing, during World War II. SA had several military training units. The largest was the SA-Marine, which served as an auxiliary to the Kriegsmarine (German Navy) and performed search and rescue operations as well as harbor defense. The SA-Marine expanded its uniforms almost to a level unto themselves with distinctive identifying blue uniforms and visor caps, with special nautical insignia which no other unit of the SA displayed.
