Description
English: Sitka, Alaska, 1886. The commercial downtown is in the foreground, St. Michael's Cathedral in the center. The "Russian town" is behind the cathedral, and the Sitka Industrial and Training School for Native Children (established by Presbyterian missionaries in 1878) is farther along the shore (toward the upper right).
