Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The harbour wall at Newlyn View north-east towards Penzance. The harbour wall is almost a mile long and protects a fishing fleet with a long history of being one of the largest in the UK, famous for pilchards, which went out of fashion and led to a decline in the fleet. 'Cornish Sardines' are now in vogue, which just shows what can be done with good marketing - apparently much more attractive than calling them pilchards. Small scale (no pun intended) sustainable fishing is alive and well here.
