English: The demolition of the Station Brae Bridge in Galashiels The demolition contractors started the dismantling process in the middle section of the bridge and then worked to the West end towards the town centre, and then the East end. Steel cross beams hang ready for the final drop. The bridge, opened on 29th June 1938, was dismantled as part of major redevelopment works in the town centre. |
