English: The back of Long Compton garage Long Compton garage still keeps some of its 1930's feel when it would have been at the hub of the village on the main road between Oxford and Stratford. It would probably have been an important stopping point for northbound vehicles that had struggled over the watershed two miles to the south, or were refuelling and rewatering approaching that climb. Now bypassed by modern cars and the M40. |
