Description
English: In 1917 during the attack on Messines it was the New Zealand Division who attacked through this area towards the village. The memorial commemorates that attack. At the bottom of the park can be seen two German bunkers. This was the German front line position known by the allies as Uhlan Trench. The New Zealand trenches were in the field below.
