English: The War Memorial Hospital on Shooters Hill This NHS-run psychiatric hospital was built in 1925 as a memorial to victims of the Great War, and was said to be the first large voluntary hospital to be built in England since the War. This main building was added to over the years, but some of the later buildings were demolished and replaced with new ones in the early years of the 21st century. |
