Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The Tyne Bridge and River Tyne in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, viewed from the Newcastle quayside looking upstream (west). The Swing Bridge beyond it is also visible, while the High Level Bridge beyond that is also visible (but mostly obscured by scaffolding & sheeting). Further beyond that, the white steel trusses of the Queen Elizabeth II Metro Bridge can be seen, as a two car train crosses it. The ship to the left facing upstream on the Gateshead side is the permanently moored Tuxedo Princess floating nightclub (the former car ferry TSS Caledonian Princess), accompanied by a smaller vessel. It's market day on the quayside, a trader's Ford Transit van with catering trailer completes the scene.
