(1 in a multiple picture album) Most people who visit Yosemite go to the valley where they look up at the summit of Half Dome which is at 8600 feet and El Capitan which is at 7600 feet. Few know about Tioga Road which takes you out of the valley and up into the high country. Here you are even higher than those well known formations in the valley. When I am in Tuolumne Meadows where this picture was taken, I fee I am on top of the park. It is almost always uncrowded and silent. If you want to take an easy hike to the top of Lembert Dome in the distance, you can really get on top. |
