CAR FOR MANITOWOC & NORTHERN TRACTION COMPANY The cars have a steel channel bottom frame work, and aremounted on St. Louis Car Companys No. 23 truck. The carbodies are 34 ft., and the length of the cars over all is 45 ft.The roof is of the steam coach pattern. The interior finish ismahogany throughout, and the cars are fitted with the St. LouisCar Companys latest style of walkover seats. The cars are alsoequipped with the St. Louis Car Companys arc headlight andinterior arc lamps. These cars are also provided with smoking compartments in therear end, and are in great favor for trolley parties. They are let-tered Manitowoc & Two Rivers Railway. ♦♦♦ The Morehead Return Trap The Morehead return trap, which has given good results in anumber of electric railway plants, is constructed of steel, theheads and longitudinal seams being closely rivetedand calked, to withstand any pressure carried onthe boiler without breaking, which is impossible withcast-iron traps.
