[edit]DescriptionThe Stones of Monks Way - geograph.org.uk - 604285.jpg |
English: The Stones of Monks Way These appear in a number of pictures from this and the next square. The notice reads:
The stones contained within this footpath lie on an ancient route which may date back to the 14th century. It is possible that the route linked Monasteries and provided access to Nottingham and the River Trent. These ancient stones are well worn and uneven so please take care when using the footpath. |
