Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Partial image of "The Rocks," a monument meant to commemorate the people of the Brewer Maine region from prehistory through to the modern era. Brewer lies on the Penobscot River and the name of the river is derived from an old Native American word for "the place of the rocks." The monument has three upright stones with carvings and includes the brickwork around the stones. The monument was commissioned by the Brewer Centennial Committee and was produced by artists Carole Hansen and Andreas Von Huene.
