Summary
[edit]DescriptionThe Multangular Tower - geograph.org.uk - 676824.jpg |
English: The Multangular Tower. Begun in AD 306 by the Romans. The Roman part of the tower and associated section of wall can be seen in the small rectangular stone work. The tower was still in good condition through the Viking & Norman occupation of the city, but was eventually repaired and heightened in the 14th century due to increased threats from the Scots. |
