Summary
[edit]DescriptionThe Master's Lodge, Christ's College - geograph.org.uk - 632926.jpg |
English: The Master's Lodge, Christ's College. Christ's College was founded by William Byngham in 1437, to train grammar school teachers. Its name was initially Gods House, and it was re-founded in 1505 as Christ's by Lady Margaret Beaufort, mother of King Henry VII.
The Master's Lodge dates from the early 1500's, although it looks as though it has been modified since then. See also 632927 |
