ere is a big and growingmarket for ferrets, but it takes longexperience to know how to handle them.One year I had to send back $900 be-cause I did not have enough ferrets instock and could not buy enough fromneighboring colonies to fill my orders. After we had gone the rounds Sack-ett took me into a part of the barn notentirely devoted to rat killers. What do you think of those beau-ties, he asked with a twinkle in hiseye, pointing to a pen. One glance wasenough. I caught my nose and jumpedback, while Sackett laughed heartily. He had introduced me to a pen ofskunks!
