Summary
[edit]DescriptionThe Harp Stone - geograph.org.uk - 769213.jpg |
English: The Harp Stone The Harp Stone is an ancient weathered limestone block, about 1.7 metres tall. It currently stands in a hedge on the east side of a pasture field, north of Hurpston Coppice. On the far side of the stone is a hollow way that drops down to the Corfe River less than 100 metres to the north - this is part of an old route linking Creech to Kimmeridge. The bank marks the boundary between the medieval manorial estates of Herpston and Hyde. |
