A image of part of the grave marker for John Hancock, which is located in the Granary Burying Ground. The marker is shaped like a tongue depressor or a tall tower with a curved top. It is made of a light colored stone. There is the following information carved in it: This Memorial Erected AD MDCCCXCV by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to mark the grave of John Hancock. Above that is a carved wreath with an image of John Hancock in the middle. Above that, in the curved part, is an elaborately carved coat of arms with multiple scrolls around it and a small dragon at the top.

The grave marker of John Hancock which is located in the Granary Burying Ground, part of the Freedom Trail.
