Description
English: The Giant's Ring near Belfast (1 of 4). The Giant's Ring is thought to date from around 3,000BC. It consists of a passage grave surrounded by a circular embankment of around 220 yards in diameter. There is quite a bit of interest attached to the site and certainly too much for a caption - this link is useful http://www.lisburn.com/books/historical_society/volume9/volume9_1.html. This photo should give some idea of the small size of the grave when compared to just a small part of the enclosure. Continue to 620579.
