Description

Exposition "The Future of a Promise" magasin du sel www.thefutureofapromise.com/ Autre site sur l'exposition universes-in-universe.org/eng/bien/venice_biennale/2011/t... La présence d'artistes arabes à la 54ème Biennale de Venise a été significative, dans des pavillons nationaux (Irak, Egypte, Arabie Saoudite, Syrie,..) mais également dans l'exposition "The Future of a Promise" qui a rassemblé une vingtaine d'artistes indépendants appartenant au monde arabe (Egypte, Syrie, Algérie, Arabie saoudite, Tunisie, Maroc, Palestine, Jordanie et Irak). A la différence de certains pavillons nationaux, la liberté d'expression y était manifeste. Peintures, installations, sculptures, vidéo, .. ont été présentées dans un des magasins du sel, un espace tout en longueur mais coloré et accueillant dans lequel les diverses oeuvres ont bénéficié d'un très bon environnement.

La plupart des oeuvres exposées évoquaient, à leur manière mais avec force et conviction, les évènements politiques récents des révolutions arabes et rendaient cette manifestation particulièrement intéressante et porteuse de sens.
