Description Biedenharn Candy Company, Vicksburg, Mississippi. Coca-cola had been invented by an Atlanta pharmacist in 1886, but it was Joseph Biedenharn in Vicksburg, Mississippi, who in 1894 came up with the idea of bottling it. The old Biedenharn candy company and coca-cola bottling plant is now a museum.
