English: The Epitaph of Andrew Belcher at Dutch Cemetery in Chinsurah, with Inscription:

"Sacred to the memory of the Rev. Andrew Belcher, A.B. of Trinity College, Cambridge; one of the Chaplains in the service of the Hon. East India Company, he died at Chinsurah after a few days illness, Nov. 29th, 1829, aged 25 years, at the moment when he was about to enter on the duties of that sacred office in which his character and attainments seemed to promise a more than ordinary measure of success and blessing. “The righteous is taken away from the evil to come.” [Isaiah 57:1]
