[edit]DescriptionThe Daffodil Way at the M50 railway bridge - geograph.org.uk - 768383.jpg |
English: The Daffodil Way at the M50 railway bridge. Looking northwards along the footpath to this bridge, which is now being used to house farm machinery. This is the point where the single-track GWR Gloucester to Ledbury Railway passed under the motorway. The motorway opened in 1960 and the railway closed in 1964. The line was also known as the daffodil line, because all the fields around here were absolutely solid yellow with daffodils and they were harvested and sent all round the country from Dymock station. |
