Summary
[edit]DescriptionThe Chasms of Cerberus (2763840589).jpg |
One of the rifts of the Cerberus Fossae, a system of fissures that cut across a lava plain east of Elysium on Mars. In the past, these rifts have spewed forth both lava and water. The fissure is roughly 100 meters across. The bright blue hues in this false-color view contain sand that formed from basaltic rocks.
