English: The Chapel of St Mary, Old Rattray Constructed in the 13th century, this chapel is one of the oldest buildings still standing in North East Scotland.
The chapel was probably built by William Comyn as a private chapel dedicated to a son who accidentally drowned in a well. The chapel is the only surviving building from the old mediaeval burgh of Rattray. |
