Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The Blue Lagoon is an even more stunning and remote spot a further 8km north of Ras Abu Galum, famed for its stunning clear blue water and remote location it really is an escape from the modern world. Accessible from Ras Abu Galum either via 4WD, camel or hiking. Nuweiba is the next town about an hours drive north of Dahab, once a popular destination for backpackers looking for cheap accommodation in beach camps it is now very quiet with few visitors. Some of the beach camps still remain and it is possible to sleep very cheaply in a basic hut on the beach. Many people visit Nuweiba en-route to Jordan as the international ferry leaves from Nuweiba port.
