Summary
[edit]DescriptionThe Bell Inn at Pensax, Snead Common - geograph.org.uk - 936111.jpg |
English: The Bell Inn at Pensax, Snead Common Partially hidden behind the hedges is the public house known as The Bell Inn at Pensax. Strangely it's not actually in the village of Pensax but on the B4202 road near Snead Common. But the important thing about this pub is that it is one of the best surviving examples of a traditional English country pub. Not only are both the exterior and interior unspoilt by the "improvements" which have wrecked so much havoc on many country pubs, but it is also a free house so is not tied to any one brewery. A wide range of beers is carried and it is one of the few pubs that has cider on draught, and (at least on the day I visited) perry as well. Good food is available too. |
