English: Lilium superbum is a relatively common species across its range. In Ohio though, the species is listed as vulnerable (S3) and its range in state is centered around a single river valley in NE Ohio: the Grand River. The moraines that glaciation dug out provided suitable habitat in Ohio that mimics its habitat on the eastside of the Appalachian mountain range. Photo was taken in Madison, OH using a nikonZ7 and 18-140mm lens. |
