Description
English: This Germanic stone house was built in 1793 by Christian Schropp (1736–1826). He built the house the year of his marriage to Anna Maria Russmeyer. Christian's father, Matthew Schropp (1722–1767) was born in Kaufbeuren, Bavaria.

Christian was a nailsmith, and was the town schoolmaster. He also served as organist of the Lititz Moravian Church for 40 years.

Today the house is home of the Lititz Historical Foundation and the Lititz Museum. The house is part of the Lititz Moravian Historical District. The Lititz Moravian Historic District is 103.3 acres (41.8 ha), built c. 1755 – c. 1930. This district was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
