Description

Merle noir (Turdus Merula)

Le merle noir adulte mâle a le plumage entièrement noir, avec le cercle oculaire et le bec jaune orangé.

Il se nourrit surtout au sol. Pour extraire un ver du sol, il sautille et le capture avec le bec, le tirant lentement de la terre. Il retourne aussi les feuilles mortes pour chercher les insectes. Le merle noir se nourrit principalement d'insectes, d'araignées, de vers de terre et de graines variées, ainsi que de baies et de fruits.


Blackbird (Turdus Merula)

The blackbird adult male has black plumage, with the eye ring and yellow-orange beak.

It feeds mainly on the ground. To extract a worm from the ground, it hops and capture with the beak, pulling it slowly from the earth. It also returns the dead leaves to search for insects. The Blackbird feeds primarily on insects, spiders, earthworms and a variety of seeds and berries and fruits.
