Summary
[edit]DescriptionTexasRichardson rocketShipSlide.jpg |
English: The rocketship slide at Heights Park in Richardson, Texas. One of the few remaining all-metal rocketship slides in the world. Later in 2006, the rocket slide was repainted with bright red and blue colors.
The 40 year old rocketship was taken down carefully by the City of Richardson on July 14, 2008. Many of the playground features of Heights Park were cited for removal due to safety concerns and non-compliance with the ADA. The structure was placed in storage. City officials hope to incorporate the structure into a public artwork project in the future. |
