Summary

Description

Platter made in central Italy

Roman, Pompeii I 13, 3, 15 BC-AD 5

Terracotta, terra sigillata ware

Parco Archeologico di Pompei SAP 11667

With stamps revealing its origins in central Italy, this platter was likely used to larger groups. The deep marks in its base are likely from someone cutting a cake or a pizza too forcefully.
