Altar of La Virgen del Carmen
Left of the Glass case: Unidentified Monk (Tonsure, chasuble.) Wood, gesso, paint; painted eyes; about 20" (50 cm.). The left hand, now broken off, seems to have once held something up. The statue resembles another that is to the right of the Carmen. It seems to have been repainted.
Right of the Glass case: St. Stephen (Tonsure, chasuble, left hand supports a book on which are arranged three rocks.) Wood, gesso, paint; painted eyes; about 20" (50 cm.). The statue resembles that of the monk on the left side of the Carmen. It seems to have been repainted.
Center, in the glass case: La Virgen del Carmen (see close-up).
