Description
Bahasa Indonesia: Suku Sasak sangat menjunjung tinggi keahlian menenun, bahkan sudah mengajarkan kemampuan menenun pada anak-anak perempuan sejak usia dini, Konon nama Sasak memang memiliki kaitan erat dengan tenun-menenun yang disebut sebagai sèsèk. Kata sèsèk ini berasal dari kata “sesak” atau “sesek”. Menenun khas suku Sasak memang dilakukan dengan cara memasukkan benang satu-persatu yang disebut dengan sak sak. Lalu benang tersebut dirapatkan hingga sesak dan padat. Bahkan alat tenun yang digunakan pun mengeluarkan bunyi, sak…sak…ketika sedang digunakan.
