Description
English: Idealized statue of Tenesor Semidán by Juan Borges Linares, located at the city of Gáldar (Gran Canaria, Canary Islands, Spain). Tenesor was the last regent of the Realm of Gáldar before his minor niece-cousin heir-princess Arminda Masequera. He was taken prisoner by the conquerors and put himself at the service of the Catholic Monarchs. He was baptised as Fernando Guanarteme and diplomatically interceded to achieve the surrender of the island in 1483.

The inscription on the pedestal reads: "Tenesor Semidán, King of Canaria".

The plaque on the wall reads: "H.M. the King of Spain Juan Carlos I assumed honorary chair in the homage to Tenesor Semidán, last King of Canaria. Royal City of Santiago de los Caballeros de Gáldar. July 24th 1986."
Español: Estatua idealizada de Tenesor Semidán realizada por Juan Borges Linares y situada en la ciudad de Gáldar (Gran Canaria, Islas Canarias, España). Tenesor fue el último regente del Guanartemato (Reino) de Gáldar ante la minoría de edad de su sobrina-prima y princesa heredera Arminda Masequera. Capturado por los conquistadores, se puso al servicio de los Reyes Católicos, fue bautizado como Fernando Guanarteme e intervino diplomáticamente para lograr la rendición de la isla en 1483.

Deutsch: Idealisierte Statue von Tenesor Semidán, hergestellt von Juan Borges Linares und in der Stadt Gáldar (Gran Canaria, Kanarische Inseln, Spanien) aufgestellt. Tenesor war der letzte Regent von Guanartemato (Königreich) von Gáldar vor der Minderheit seiner Nichte-Cousine und Kronprinzessin Arminda Masequera. Von den Eroberern gefangen genommen, stellte er sich in den Dienst der Katholischen Könige, er wurde als Fe getauft als Fernando Guanarteme und intervenierte diplomatisch, um 1483 die Kapitulation der Insel zu erreichen.

Die Inschrift auf dem Sockel lautet: „Tenesor Semidán, König von Canaria“.
