La Hacienda de Beneficio, popularmente conocida como la Hacienda del Cura, era propiedad del Presbítero José García Valdez, quien la cedió a su hermano para que le ayudara a montar una hacienda de beneficio de metales. Poco después, el General Zubiate compró dicha Hacienda y en 1718 la puso en manos del esposo de su hija Nicolasa, el Sr. Don José de Aguirre. Estando enferma de gravedad, Doña Nicolasa dispuso en su testamento que ahí se construyera un templo dedicado a Santa Rita de Casia. Milagrosamente Doña Nicolasa sano al poco tiempo. Historia: El edificio, construido en 1731, es de suma sencillez y refleja el estilo barroco de tipo religioso, que caracterizó la época en que fue construido. La fachada del templo, lisa y rectangular, está limitada por una cornisa de cantera con un frontispicio triangular. Hacia el lado izquierdo de la entrada se encuentra una cartela con la fecha de la construcción del templo. En el lado derecho se encuentra una pequeña torre de dos cuerpos de sección cuadrada, a cada lado puede verse un arco de medio punto flanqueado por pilastras lisas con capitel muy sencillo. Los dos cuerpos de la torre están divididos por una cornisa barroca de cantera, por arriba de la cual se repite el diseño del primer cuerpo. El interior del templo es de una sola nave y en él destaca la forma del presbiterio así como el sagrario, el cual cuenta con ornamentación incrustada en el muro de excelente factura hecha de cantera de color rosado.
