English: Templecombe: locomotives lined up beside old S&D Lower Station. View northward, towards Evercreech Junction and Bath: ex-Somerset & Dorset Bath - Bournemouth line. The line, which was closed 7/3/66, is off to the right; the BR Standard 4MT 4-6-0 is on the loop connecting up to the SR main line station. Beyond the old Lower Station (closed 1/1887) is the Locomotive Shed. The locomotives are mainly ex-GW and ex-LMS (S&D) 0-6-0s. |
