Esta imagen da a ver la idea de orden que tenían los griegos, que consistía en la articulación de las partes fundamentales en una serie de elementos, dotado cada uno de una función determinada y de una forma propia (columna con su base y su capitel, arquitrabe con su friso decorado, etc.)Sin embargo por reglas fijas de relación reciprocas.
