Description
English: This photo was taken at the end of WW2 at Ynylas in Wales whilst testing telemetry. The UK guided weapons programme came into being in 1944. The first experimental system was called LOPGAP an acronym for Liquid Oxygen Propelled Guided Anti-aircraft Projectile

Source The digital file was made by R H Barker from photographs in his possession. The images are of historical value being over 70 years old.
Author These photos were published by Signals Research Establishment. Copies were given to Dr R H Barker when he worked at Signals Research and Development Establishment (SRDE) in 1946. They were retained by him and unseen for 50 years.
