[edit]DescriptionTeatro Ribeiro Conceição - Lamego - Portugal (52751308576).jpg | Datado do ano de 1727, este teatro foi inicialmente construído com o propósito de ser o Hospital da Misericórdia de Lamego que aqui funcionou até 1892. Quatro anos depois, o velho hospital passa a ser o novo Quartel do Regimento. No entanto, em 31 de Julho de 1897, um grave incêndio deixa este edifício reduzido a escombros. Em 1924, o Comendador José Ribeiro Conceição compra em hasta pública, por dez mil e um escudos (quarenta e nove euros e oitenta e oito cêntimos), o edifício em ruínas e transforma-o numa importante e prestigiada sala de espetáculos que será uma referência na vida cultural do interior do país ao longo de várias décadas. Com pompa e circunstância, o teatro foi inaugurado a 2 de Fevereiro de 1929, mantendo a sua atividade cultural até 1987, ano em que apresentava já em estado avançado de degradação. Finalmente, a Câmara Municipal de Lamego decide avançar com a aquisição deste monumento setecentista e em 1993 foram realizadas obras de recuperação e consolidação do edifício. No final de 2005, são efectuadas as obras de reabilitação e a 23 de Fevereiro de 2008 é reinaugurada a mais bela sala de espetáculos da região duriense: o Teatro Ribeiro Conceição. <a href="http://trc.cm-lamego.pt/" rel="noreferrer nofollow">trc.cm-lamego.pt/</a> |
