Travel-ling to the world-famous Ninety-MileBeach, the party witnessed the beautyand splendour of this magnificentbeach and were able to enjoy a twenty-mile ride along its sand)- expanse.Here Elder Critchlow demonstratedhis native characteristics by samplinga live toheroa (clam) found onlyin this area. Returning to KaikoheSunday, the party observed the Sab-bath by attending the Bay of IslandsDistrict Conference. Here the Saintsreceived much spiritual uplifting andfood for thought as they listened towords of wisdom from Elder and Sister Critchlow. Returning back to tourthe southern part of the Mission, theparty stopped at Waitangi to view thefamous treaty house, carved Maorimeeting hall, and the Maori warcanoe. Stopping at Hamilton, home oi theNew Zealand Temple. MELCHEZIDEKPRIESTHOOD PRIESTHOOD AT WORKBy Ben Hippolite, Jr.4th Quorum PresidentNew Zealand South Mission CHRISTMAS vacation is alwayssomething to look forward to, but there is one that I shall always re-member and hold close to my heart.This was the first time that I hadthe opportunity of exercising the HolyPriesthood. A group of Labour Missionariestravelled from the L.D.S. College atHamilton to DUrville Island for theChristmas vacation. One day while myfriends and uncles were out fishing,my companion, who held the AaronicPriesthood, and I decided to go swim-ming. Suddenly one of the youngchildren came rushing to the beachand said, Grandma is very sick andwants to be administered to. With asudden realization that I was the onlyElder on the Island and that I hadnever before been asked to exercisemy Priesthood, my companion and Idressed immediately, and before goingto Grandmas bedside, retired to oneof the back rooms where we knelt inhumble prayer.
